Annabelle Gurwitch is an American comedian, author and television host best known for her role as hostess of Dinner and a Movie on TBS and activist in environmental issues and secular humanism. Annabelle Gurwitch, a New York Times bestseller and critically acclaimed actress is the best-selling New York Times Author for her memoirs: Whatever You're Doing, They Are I See That You Did An Effort Said Tomato You say I'm fired, and you say Shut Up and fired. that was also a Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch was the host of Dinner & a Movie on TBS throughout the years. TV viewers may remember her appearances in programs such as Better Things Boston Legal Seinfeld Dexter Murphy Brown as well as the sustainability program WA$TED which was broadcast by The Planet Green Network. She makes regular appearances for PBS Newhour Real Time with Bill Maher and on NPR and also writes Op-eds in the New York Times WSJ The Hollywood Reporter and satire for The New Yorker and McSweeeneys.
